Count the geeks!

Here's a fun game to play. Look at the picture below, (click image to maximize), and count how many "geek stereotypes" you are.

I counted around 10 for myself.

You must choose, but choose wisely!

There is nothing worse then having $50 to spend on Amazon.com. I don't normally splurge on myself, so after getting a $50 gift card from a vendor at Lotusphere, it took me a few weeks to decide what to buy. I always make fun on my kids going through the same torturous choices when they are at Toys R Us trying to spend the gift cards that they get.
So after a few days of surfing, I came across something that I have been wanting to get for some time now, "The World's Greatest Super-Heroes" by Paul Dini and Alex Ross. I've looked at this book several times in Borders and love the artwork in it. And what I've read of the stories within, it's a pretty solid volume.
So now with the weekend weather remaining cold, clouds and snowy, I am really hoping this thing shows up in the mail today. It left Pittsburgh yesterday, so hopefully it will make it the 70 or so miles west today! Wifey has scrap booking planned for the weekend, so I think I'll be able to get away with getting lost in some Super Hero mythology.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Part 2

Part 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiered tonight and FOX and again, this show rocks. I know that my favorite superhero is a little unsure about the development of River...I mean Cameron, the female Terminator, but I think there has to be some "give" to allow for a television series to develop. So far, they seem to be close with the character development and keeping with Terminatorverse storyline intact. But all-in-all, it's a good diversion for a Monday night without Heros on NBC.

Again, I'm glad that we have a DVR. It will come in handy next week while I'm in the Land of Lotus at the House of Mouse.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles

With most anything Sci-Fi television related in the Donaldson house, it usually involves me scurrying off to another room to watch it. But tonight Denise and I both watched "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" on FOX and we both really enjoyed it! Call it Terminator 2.5, but the story takes place a few years after the events of Terminator 2 with Sarah and John still on the run from the future. Good writing, decent casting and well paced story for TV. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you check it out! Good thing we got the DVR so I can record next weeks show while I'm out of town.
